His name is indeed from the Great Gatsby, which I just finished reading and can't help but feel very sad about. Poor Gatsby was the only honest one of the lot, and even if he was chasing dreams at least he was chasing them truly and sincerely.
I can't really draw realistic stuff, so I went with the trick known as trying to make it look realistic by making the lines indistinct, wobbly and suggestive. I hope it works, even if it's obvious that it's a cover-up
Gatsby isn't as superficial as my other characters which are really just characters (and somehow he has the same colour scheme as Delf, which just goes to show that despite the fact I'm not that fond of blue, there's obviously something to it xD) in that he is mildly meaningful. I don't go in for symbollism much, but when thinking about certain things, for some reason my imagination always picks a blue fox. Who knows? The name rather fits, though. A bit of dream-chasing. I can't think of anything to type which doesn't sound pretentious, nebulous and like I'd laugh at myself, ahah, so I shan't! xP
Having an artistic set of days for some reason! Possibly something in the water.
I was going to say the name reminded me of The Great Gatsby. That was a good book, though indeed sad. I would like to reread it, though my 40+ copy feel apart, so I'm in need of a new one. x_x
We just finished reading that as well. x3 I thought Nick was a decent character too.

When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
